Borussia Mönchengladbach has signed Swedish striker Isac Lidberg on loan from SV Darmstadt 98. The 27-year-old Lidberg will play for the Foals in the upcoming season. Lidberg scored 17 goals in 30 games in the previous season and is an important part of the team. His contract runs until 2027 in Darmstadt, which puts the club under pressure to sell him. The Hessen have already given up another striker, Frasier Hornby, to VfL Wolfsburg. Whether Lidberg will get a starting spot in Gladbach remains to be seen, as Tim Kleindienst is already in the team. The transfer of Lidberg is an important step for the Foals to increase their strength in the upcoming season.
